I'm buying a pc mainly for gaming and here are the specs

Fx8350 4GHz
G.skill 2x 4Gb
1Tb
GTX 970 4GB
550 Watt

Solution
I will say this, as an fx8350 owner for >2 years, I love that chip. that's a similar build to what I started with. I have yet to see a problem with my cpu (currently paired w/ a gtx 980ti and running a 4k display at >60 fps)

The only issue i have had with it is windows 10 doesn't like my overclock that I had on it; but I'm not sure if that's a hardware of a software issue.

8gbs of ram is perfect for any game. The only time I was maxed out on my ram was when I was playing minecraft and running a server on my computer. But I told the server and Minceraft to use all 8gbs of memory and as long as I didnt need to do anything else, 8gbs was fine.

1tb hdd is plenty for storage; but I second what burgessanthony said. get an SSD to put your OS at least on it. If you cant afford a 128gb ssd (you could go with a 64gb one but dont expect to fit a whole lot on it comfortably) then you could go the other route which would be to look into sandisk's "express cache" software. Put a 32gb SSD in front of your hardrive and it will copy your most used files automatically to the SSD thus giving you SSD speeds from a HDD. I could tell you more about it but Ill just link you at the end of this post.

gtx970 is a great card. you could push a 1440p monitor and get >60fps on most games (from what ive seen on benchmarks)

And again, what burgessanthony said as well, look into a quality PSU. I would consider getting one strong enough for 2 970s there fore (if you have a compatible motherboard) a drop in upgrade would be really easy.

okay, i read your comment and got the 120gb ssd card. This is like my first pc, after my laptop, and im already way over the budget with the full build. so im trying to keep everything as cheap as possible and still get a full gaming feeling rather than dealing with lagg even with the most uselss games.

i didnt get the I5 ram because it would cost a lot and the build is already out of my budget. i was looking for a build at £600 but i ended up with £800. I dont have any regrets yet but so far everything seems fine.

heres the full build with the ssd included, if you have any other recommendation please feel free to say so.

That looks fine. only sketchy thing is the PSU. Alot of people wouldn't recommend it but then again, I'm still rocking my cx600m (which is on the same tier as that unit,) from 2 years ago so I guess I got lucky.

other than that Id say nice build! post pics when its done!
