Nice Build +1. IMO I don't think its overkill, if anything it will last awhile especially if you run SLI later on. If I really wanted to nitpick I would suggest swapping the SSD out for the 250gb version and adding in a WD Blue (or Black) 1TB drive for storage and going with a smaller PSU as even a quality 550W is plenty for SLI/OCing. All in all its a good build and the black/red theme should look great.
 
Yes super overkill. This would get you pretty much the same performance.

Ok guys, If I want to play all AAA titles on it do I need a 980+ or is a msi geforce 970 fine? If not do I go with 2 970's even tho I still only get 3,5GB VRAM or do I go with the 980 or 980 Ti for that 4GB VRAM?
