This is completely wrong. First off, the 860K is a great CPU for the money and a better option than a Pentium. A Z170 motherboard with an I3-6100 is completely pointless since it doesn't require a hefty VRM, and the Z170 is very expensive compared to an H110. 3200Mhz RAM? Why? The CPU is still a weak I3, money could be better put into an I5, and even that is double the cost of the 860K.

There is nothing wrong with AMD, and nothing wrong with a HDD. And no, an I3 can't just be clocked to 4.4Ghz that simply, it requires a better cooler, and if anything a solid non-cheap motherboard, and motherboards are actually ridding the option of BCLK OC.

I got my 4gb ASUS GTX 960 for the same price as that 950 if that is american coin in the link. The reason I sprung for the 4GB 960 is because I felt the extra 2GB of Vram would make it last longer with what I could use it for. And so far it seems to have helped playing games like Batman Arkham night it uses about 3.75 gigs of Vram.

I have shopped around online and bought 1TB WD/Seagate/etc spinners at 7,2K RPM for under $55 bucks USD new.

I can't comment on the AMD stuff as I am still waiting to try it out in my next build. I run last years intel stuff.

I am sure the ram is fine but I got 2400mhz ram for 3 more dollars than the 1600 mhz version. Don't know if you are looking to modify XMP profiles and set the timings and what not.

By the way that board looks like it only has 2x RAM slots. If you get a 2x 4GB kit you'll be maxed at 8GB. I run 8GB on 1 stick and have no problems doing anything really but if you think you will want to go 16 gb at some point probably best to do it from the get go.

What power supply would you use around 500w for like 50-60$

There aren't any good ones for that price in Canada.

An 860K is cheaper than an I3 and an I5. Therefore, it makes your argument nullified. Intel chips are deniably better for gaming, but gaming is not everything. Again, gaming is not everything. And they all have different prices so comparing a $200 I5 to an $80 AMD is futile. If you have the money, Intel, but on a budget where even an I3 cannot be afforded, AMD.

To be honest that sounds like a really immature and arrogant statement. I've diagnosed and repaired about 35 laptops that where DOA in the past 8-12 months and built 4 computers but I don't go around saying that as if it means something for no reason. What personal experience do you have with AMD products?

Yes some i3's are known to out perform AMD cpu's in calculations. But how does that effect things in the real world, most people just copy what others say on this site. Can you not play counter strike because you have an AMD CPU? I don't remember you asking the OP what he intends to build his rig for? Or what his total budget is. Furthermore you make statements but give no reasoning. You didn't have time for PCpartpicker so I assume you don't have time to explain your thoughts. Why should he get z170 or a skylake CPU? What I commented was solely food for thought so that he can think about things before making a decision.

OP why don't you tell us what you plan on doing with the rig. I'm assuming light-moderate gaming due to the graphics card choice.
