Hi im planning to build a computer with these specs im hoping that these are good specs

Brand new or used? That is 3 generations old already, so unless you're getting it very cheap, no it's not a good build.

If your building a new Intel based rig, you should be looking at socket 1155-SB platform.

Where are you buying from? There are quite a few improvements to what you picked, for most likely close to the same money.

Not really, if your building a system now you want to be looking at a sandy bridge cpu and the associated motherboards as the guy above said or maybe the upcoming AMD bulldozer cpu's. it all depends on your budget though, you might perceive a sandy bridge build to be expensive, in which case an AM3 build would probbly cheaper.

this is much much better

or even a bit cheaper but still good

honestly the things you picked are old and noth worth the bother unless you wanna upgrade 1 or 2 parts on an existing machine

the i3 is the best value chip out right now for anything

the athlon II is also good but i threw in and am3+ board for upcoming bulldozer

but i would strongly reccomend the i3
