Ok so I'm finding a new CPU cooler for an overheating CPU cooler and here are my options. MA620P Twin tower cooler master air cooler, Be Quiet Dark pro 4 (expensive choice), Hyper 212 black edition RGB or without RGB, or the be quiet dark rock slim. For the be quiet coolers I don't know the difference between dark rock slim or 4, I understand that the dark rock slim is a lot skinnier but is bigger the better? Or they're the same but different in size. Plus I wanna know if I do choose the dark rock 4 am I able to fit it in with my current specs??

Larger air coolers tend to be more effective, simply because they have more surface air to dissipate heat. This is by no means universal, because design also plays a key role; but if you had two identical air coolers that were alike in every aspect but heat sinks size, you'd expect the larger one to cool better.

Any of these would be effective as an i5-7600K is not a particularly hot chip. If your h100 isn't cooling it, the most likely cause is either the mounting coming loose or the pump simply no longer working.

The thing is though my idle temps on the CPU are around 40-80c (when overclocked but I reset it to default settings) and I haven't tested it though but when I used to go on a match on games such as Fortnite my temps would be a way too extreme for my liking (100c). That's the thing it's overheating so my first thoughts are to reapply thermal paste and get a new cooler.
