Question Is this a good combination for a new cpu, motherboard and ram upgrade?

I'm looking very soon to upgrade my CPU, RAM and Motherboard. I am thinking to go with the Ryzen 1700x as my CPU, Corsair vengeance LPX 2x8 3000MHz for my RAM and the MSI B450 Tomahawk as my Motherboard.

My budget is around £350-400
Altogether, this upgrade costs £350.

My question is to ask if is there a better option for me to go for within my budget, meaning, should I go for another CPU etc.

Would appreciate answers! :)

depends on what you're upgrading from and what you want to do with it
Upgrading from an AMD FX-6300, Kinsgton HyperX 4x4 1866MHz RAM and an MSI 970 GAMING Motherboard.

I am looking to play games such as Fortnite daily. I also am a editor and designer, therefore I use Sony Vegas to edit videos and Photoshop to edit photos etc. I would like to prioritise gaming over this though. Fortnite is the main game I play. If i'm happy with the framerate and performance I am getting while playing Fortnite, I want to consider streaming it also, in about 720p.

This would be much better especially for editing and designing and the gaming will be even better as you will have the latest generation with a Ryzen 3600 and a B450 Tomahawk motherboard though make sure you update the bios first.

The review here covers production use as well and shows the 3600 is better than the 1700 bar a couple which are only a fraction away.

If I update the BIOS, is the Tomahawk definitely compatible with the 3600?
