Hi!

I want to get myself a new microphone (my current headsetmic is pretty bad) and I was thinking directly going with an XLR setup instead of USB.

So I was looking around, watching reviews and comparing prices until I ended up with following setup:

Mic: Blue Ember
Interface: Presonus Audiobox USB 96 (Has MIDI I/O for my keyboard)

Now I want a shockmount aswell. But I can't figure out the thread width of the Blue Ember. Is it a one-size-fits-all thing or do I need a special shockmount for it?

Thanks in advance

Solution
There is not much benefit in using XLR outside of a studio setup with long cable runs or unless you already have a bunch of XLR capable equipment you want to use. If you do a search for blue mic mounts you will find info about the connector on it.
