Hello everyone,

Please let me know if the below combo is good enough or not? will my mobo support my CPU and GPU?

The reason I selected them because of tight budget and I cannot increase my budget and I am not going to overclock.

Amd fx 6300 + gigabyte GA78lmt usb3 or asus m5a78l-m/usb3 + r7 265.

Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

ofcourse,it would be perfect, it supports max 140w tdp and fx 6300 is well below i run a 125 w 8320 on this mobo altho no oc for me
but asus is well known for its longlasting and superb quality builds, from where did u get info that asus are not good?
go for it u wont regret it wud be perfect build
go for some nice gpu though like r9270x it will serve for 3 -4 yrs max setting gaming

Thanks for the quick reply sir,

How abt if I downgrade the CPU to FX 4300 just to save some bucks. will that be okay? I just want to use this build for at least next 2 - 3 years without any upgrades.

What sort of games are you going to play? The 4300 and 6300 have identical single-core performance. If you play games that can optimize multiple cores (like BF4), it's worth getting the 6300 for only $10 more.

6300 will serve you for longer time and will perform efficently its worth extra money u pay
4300 is 4 core and 6300 is 6 core nowadays many games are using 4 cores and upward as ur 4300 has only 4 cores it would be entry level if you want future proofing then go for 6300 believe me its worth the money
but you can also get 4300 its also got a nice price /performance ratio
but comparatively 6300 will be good
its only 10 $cheaper

I agree that you should get the 6300, but most games use one or two cores, unless you're playing triple-A titles (which may still only use one or two cores, anyway).
Honestly, it's up to you. You should expect similar performance between the two on most titles, but once again, I'd recommend the 6300. Two cores for $10 more is worth it.
