Is this a good computer?

Hi, I'm new to this whole building computers. Here is what I've ended up choosing, I'm a big gamer. I'm going to post the stuff below. Thanks.

Corsair HX Series HX850 850W power supply
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16 gb(2x8gb) DDR3 1600
Asus Sabertooth X79 LGA
Intel Core i7 3930k
Samsung 840 pro series 512gb SSD
Noctua NH-D14 fan
Corsair Graphite series 600T case

Good build, if there's anything I would change it would be:

1) Get a 7970 instead of a 680 as it provides more performance for the price
OR
2) I would highly recommend getting a 3770k (plenty of CPU for gaming) and instead invest in SLI 7970's or a GTX Titan.

You could always wait for Nvidia's 700 series to be releases (allegedly) sometime in the next two months, but don't get such a powerful CPU when you can get better performance with a 3770k and something stonger than a 680. That's just my opinion though.

Honestly, even a 3770k is overkill for gaming. By dropping down to a 3570k (essentially no performance drop from the 3770k), you'll save even more and lose nothing, unless you need hyperthreading for something.

Agree with Jack. The I7 is overkill for gaming. Get the 3570k, a good z77 m/b, and consider a titan with the difference.

Halve the size of the SSD. 256 instead of 512. Add a spinning disk for mass storage.
