I have 700-800$ (600-700 euro) price budget and live in Italy but will probably buy the pieces online and was thinking about this system:

1. Cpu: i7-3770
2. Mobo: asus P8Z77-v LX
3. Vga: Gygabite GV-N650OC-2GI
4. Case: Cooler Master Case Elite 370
5. Ali: Cooler master gx 650w 80 plus 12v
6. Ram: 4gb 1600 kingston
I don’t plan on overclocking because I lack the know-how.
I would like to know if this is a valid setup for its price range and if it is good enough for gaming, I plan to update the vga in a few months as soon as I gather more $$$.

Thanks all

If all you are doing is gaming, there is no reason to spend the extra money for the i7. Since you are not going to overclock, I would suggest the i5-3350P. Also as firo said, go with a H77 board.

With the money you saved on those two suggestions, get a GTX 660ti or a Radeon 7870.

Drop from an i7 to an i5; I suggest the i5-3350p. The only difference between an i7 and an i5 is that the i7 has hyperthreading, which games don't use well, and likely won't in the future. There's no reason to spend another $120 to get an i7.

Drop down to a decent quality h77 motherboard - the pro series from AsRock is good.

A 650 is extremely weak, especially since you were thinking of pairing it with a $300 processor. What were you planning on replacing it with?

Go with 8GB - it'll make everything a little bit smoother.

What is your hard drive setup going to look like?

thanks for all the adbice, well i'll downgrade the cpu and the mobo as you say, will see which vga of the one you said I can find. As for the hard drives I was thinking of a ssd for the OS and the main programs and then a hd for storage.

I agree that you should get the best GPU you can afford, but I also think that getting an SSD improves the overall computer performance, as far as boot times and load speeds. If it is in your budget to get one of the cards I suggested earlier and get the SSD, go for it, you wont regret it, but do not sacrifice a good graphics card for an SSD.

So far it seems like:
1. Cpu: i5-3550p or a i5-3330
2. Mobo: Arock h77 pro
3. Vga: Gtx 660 ti 2gb
4. Case: Cooler Master Case Elite 370
5. Ali: Cooler master gx 650w 80 plus 12v
6. Ram: 8gb 1600 kingston

This is all in the budget and I will get a 120gb SSD as soon as next paycheck comes in, is this good?
Thanks again for all the help
