Question Is this a good deal and is it worth it to upgrade my parts?

Hello,

I'm thinking of upgrading my cpu, mobo and ram and wanted to know if this is a good price for the upgrade and if it's even worth upgrading (I'm not the most knowledgeable on these things)


Currently I have:


Motherboard ASRock B460 PRO4 Intel LGA1200 10th

CPU Intel Core 15-10600KF

Ram G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHZ


Graphics card: ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 12GB (I’m not planning on upgrading this at the moment)

Potential upgrade bundle

Motherboard: GIGABYTE B550 Gaming X V2 Motherboard


CPU: AMD R7 5700X3D CPU


Ram: G.SKILL 32GB D4 3200MHz CL16 RAM


Price of the bundle is $398 CAD

For a 5700X3D, I probably wouldn't. Keep in mind that swapping the platform may cause loss of OS activation.

IMO, update BIOS and consider something like the 11600K or 11700K, even on the used market. The 11600K is just about on par, maybe a bit faster one way or the other. The 11700K would theoretically be faster.

I would also go ahead and upgrade the RAM kit to 32GB.
