Ok, so I have been saving up money for a while and am now looking at desktop computers. I found this one gaming pc built by a lesser known company that has good ratings. The computer looks like a great deal, and im thinking of getting it.

This is the computer here

I will probably only play older/semi-current games e.g. Battlefront 2, Minecraft, various emulators, etc. and am not to big of a multi tasker (maybe a dozen tabs open at once MAX). So basically I don't need an amazing computer, just an adequate one for gaming and the like.

Is this a good deal?

Here you go. This build beats the tar out of that prebuilt piece of junk for a whole $617. You would be much happier with something like this. What's more, with a custom built (by you) system, you get all the FULL warranties of each part, instead of some crappy 1-year warranty offered by that prebuilt system. Here's an exerpt pulled straight from their warranty page:

"eCustomPC LLC shall, at its own expense and option, either repair or replace defective products during the warranty period provided that our technical staff has found them to be defective." This basically means if an individual component breaks inside your computer, you'll have to send the WHOLE thing into them so they can run their tests and decide if they will pay for the replacement under the warranty program. It's a loophole that basically allows them to do what they want no matter what the warranty says.

At least consider building your own. You get a much better product that you will be far more pleased with.

Got links for either one of those? I can't find an i3 under $100 unless you look at buying used. And neither Newegg nor Amazon have an XFX Pro 550w. The closest I can find is this:

The i3 and that XFX PSU would put him way over budget.

Here you go. This took about 3 minutes on a google search. Keep in mind, that at a $600 budget, you're not going to find a prebuilt desktop that is made for gaming. You're either going to sacrifice the CPU or the GPU. Since you mentioned you want an i5, all of these builds below sacrifice the GPU, meaning you'll have to add one separately. Keep that in mind as you shop.
