Also what is a good gaming OS?
I would prefer windows and I plan on using Steam.

I want to get all these parts from micro center:
http://www.microcenter.com/

I plan on playing:

Minecraft

Garry's Mod

Portal 2

I would change a couple of things.
1. The PSU. It's not a quality PSU.I would get a XFX TS 550W instead.Much better quality PSU.Also very reliable.
2. The RAM. The RAM is pretty poor. Get some Kingston HyperX or Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB 1600 MHz RAM.
3. Get the R9 270.It's stronger than the HD7770.
4. Get Windows 7.
Change/Get that and you will have a fairly good gaming PC.
All the best. 😉

Although cost is less forking out to get Intel chipsets IS worth your while, an i5-4670(K) is a perfect option (obviously change the motherboard to match the socket!!!! Asus ones are great!!)
Going for dual channel RAM, i.e. two sticks, of corsair vengeance is a great idea.
Go for Corsair PSU's much more reliable, plus go for Gold plated or Platinum.
Defo get the R9 270 really nice performance for the games you wanna play at a great price.
You get a few more Frames in Win 8.1, so go for that. Plus it's the latest and greatest OS from Microsoft!
With this PC you can even extend to games such as BF4 and COD and still get epic Frame rates!!!
Enjoy it and Good Luck!

Can you recommend another PSU?
That is not at the store I want to go to.

Rosewill Capstone 550W or
Seasonic S12 II 620W

That CPU, should be able to run those games "OK" but playing MMO's will be pushing it too far. The Intel equivalent are dual cores, but for the price it's a decent CPU.

The GPU alone could run BF3 for example at high settings, if that give you some sort of an indication.

OS, is purely up to you, the only benefit i could think of is Windows 8 would get direct X 11.1 which Windows 7 may not.

Rosewill Capstone 550W or
Seasonic S12 II 620W

Those actually aren't there either

:/

You can go to the website and choose the store in Detroit, MI
to see what there is.

I don't know how to tell if something is a quality PSU besides by looking at the reviews.

What about this?

Antec VP Series VP550F 550 Watt ATX Power Supply

(A lot of the other ones were expensive for me)

The Enermax Triathlor 550W was there, that one is a good price for me. :)

That one is good. It's Tier Two Class A,so it a quality made PSU.Go with that one. 😉

Yea,the 7770 is fair enough.
My recommendation is to look for a HD7870.That's a slightly better card that the 270,since the 270 si stronger than the 7770,the 7790 and the 7850.
Or look for a GTX 660 Ti,which is also a great card.
So HD 7870 or GTX 660 Ti. 😉
All the best. 😉

I will get the HD7870. :)
The one there was called:
Diamond AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB PCI-E Video Card
That's the same thing right?

The Sapphire one wasn't there.
There were both of the GTX ones but they were to expensive.
Is the Diamond one good? :??:

You replied quickly.
I was just about to ask about another video card I found:

MSI AMD Radeon R9 270 Overclocked 2048MB PCIe 3.0
(I probably will still get the HD7870 because It has more memory and it is cheaper)

Ok, I will get the HD7870 :)

Also, what should I get for wi-fi if I already have a router?
I will be a pretty far distance from it.

What about:
TP-LINK TL-WN881ND 300Mbps Wireless N PCI-E Adapter

It had good reviews and rating.
