Is this a good gaming PC build?

The title essentially says it all. I'm looking into PC gaming, but I'm not 100% confident on my choice of parts.

Here's what I've got:

Pretty good gaming system. Why go for the I3 and not an I5? No SSD? What is your budget? Case should fit gpu
