is this a good gaming pc?

Hello everyone
I am new with building pc's andere I just want/need soms advice
I did a hell lot of searching and I came up with this custom build:

CPU : Intel Core i5-4590
Mobo: MSI Z97 PC MATE
GPU: Sapphire R9 280 Dual-X
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1 TB
Case: Thermaltake V4
PSU: XFX Core Edition PRO 550W

I just wanna know if these componenten are compatible and if I maybe should upgrade one of them.

Everything is compatible, my only worry is not having a ton of headroom on the PSU for upgrades, but then the next gen of GPUs (900 series and whatever AMD puts out) should be more energy efficient.
