If you want to make your gameplay really smooth then you should get an intel core i7 or i5 processor, a 4GB video card, and at least 800 watts for your power supply.
I'd take a R9 290 over all these cards. You can pick them up new on Amazon for $250. Will hugely outperform the 280x, 380, or 960.

Even with the stock heatsink. It's still a huge upgrade over the 960. If the heat and noise bothers you, you can buy an aftermarket cooler on the cheap.
The problem with the stock heatsink is throttling due to high temps. A good aftermarket cooler for a 290 isn't cheap. Why buy one with a trouble causing reference cooler when one with an aftermarket cooler is cheaper?
Im going to start out with the powercolor radeon r9 380 and maybe after some time upgrade to the 290 with an aftermarket cooler. its my first build so I don't want to go to deep in yet. Oh, and would I need a wifi adapter to get wireless internet? It may be some time before I can get wired internet because my apartments router is located next to my tv, which isn't where my room is going to be. Would there be a good adapter if it isn't built in. I get that ethernet is way faster but I can't wait that long 😛
