I'm new to toms hardware so sorry if I do something wrong.

I'm going to sell my mac book pro and with some spare money I'm going to build pc(first time building one). I've tried to keep it under about $1,100. I'm just wondering if this is a good build for the money and if you guys would change anything.

It is good.

I recommend this PSU instead,
XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($55.98 @ Newegg)

or if you plan on adding a second video card later, this one:
XFX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($86.20 @ NCIX US)

the corsair builder series are fairly mediocre PSU's built by CWT. All XFX PSU's are made by Seasonic.

...and if you want to save a few bucks, the coolermaster hyper 212 EVO is the standby around here at that price range.

As Hommer would have said D'OOHHH :)

The 670 is considerably faster than the 760 for the same price. Nvidia is actually rebranding the 670 as the 760Ti and will be selling it for much more than the 670 is going for now. Maybe they didn't think we'd notice? *fail*

http://www.techspot.com/news/54377-nvidia-geforce-gtx-760-ti-appears-as-rebranded-gtx-670.html

except for the 780, the 700 series is all the same hardware as the 600. the 770 is a rebranded 680.

* P.S. The 670 has gone on sale twice in the past month for $200 (that's when I picked up my pair), and may do so again, though I bet Nvidia is trying to clear out the stock so they can intro the "new" 760Ti (more fail). Keep your eyes on slickdeals, logicbuy, techbargains, etc.
