IS this a Good High-end Cpu?

I'm planning on getting a new computer the specs are going to be. (i'm building it)
AMD 7970
Intel I7 4770K
Somewhere from 8-12 gigs of ram
and windows 7 64 bit
Will there be any bottle necks with this setup. If so what should i improve. And should i get 8 gigs or 12 gigs of ram?

8 GB is fine for gaming, in fact I would go with a i5 for gaming and up the CPU to a 7970 GHZ or a R9 280x.
