Hello, so i found a very cheap Fujitsu D2618-C14 GS 3 motherboard for dual xeon.
I am wondering is this motherboard good for workstations because i have no other option since i have 2x xeon 5640s and 12gb ddr3 ecc memory to waste so i wanted to create a computer since E5640 is very good proccesor.
Will this pc work with with 2x Xeon E5640s,12GB DDR3-1333 ECC Memory and ATI Radeon HD 5770 Vapor-X Edition
Best regrads.

Thank you for responding, i just looked ad the Celsius R670 Workstations i found a manual that said it supported Xeon E5640?
I want to buy the board because i found it for 40$ dirt cheap.

And also on the sellers description it says:
Proccessors supported:
Xeon X5000 series up to at least 3.46 GHz
Xeon W5000 series up to at least 3.33 GHz
Xeon L5000 series up to at least 2.6 GHz
Xeon E5000 series to at least 2.66 GHz

At userbenchmark I find 2 different R670, and R670-2 listings with different CPU support.

Digging into the MB numbers it looks like that's the 2nd version.
There aren't many samples of that system there and no dual X5640 that I saw. But it looks good to me. 12GB of RAM will need to be split 6GB for each CPU so I hope you have 6x2GB modules. If you have 3x4GB you will need more. But 12GB isn't much for a 12 core/24 thread system.
