So these are my current PC Specs -

AMD athlon x64 4200+ Dual Core Processor @ 2.2ghz
3 GB of DDR2 RAM
GT610 DDR3 2GB Graphics Card

Now the Upgrades i have planned

AMD Athlon x64 6000+ @ 3.0 ghz
4 GB of DDR2 Ram
GT 730 2 GB DDR5 ZOTAC Edition

So my question is, is this new config able to play GTA V, Dying Light etc, in 30 fps on 1366*768 Resolution at low settings? and is it worth to upgrade from 4200+ to 6000+? Plz don't suggest a whole PC upgrade, as i'm planning on doing it the next year and getting a descent gaming rig.

I am doing this upgrade is it woth it for those games??

Solution
What is your budget? I'd recommend a g4560, b250, and 8GB ddr4 2400, and a 1050 gtx at least, short of a psu, hard drive, case and os that is almost a full system but much better to go this route than tossing money on such an outdated system.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1G5awjzI0M just with the pentium IGP

cpu board and ram and save up for the 1050 to make it a 1080p gamer.
no not worth it. graphics card upgrade is still worth it (considering your current gpu) , but you will only get marginal performance enhancement with cpu and ram upgrade, as far as gta v is concerned.

OK, I can understand :) but what about GPU paired with 4200+

This is my best best bcoz next year i am going to build a new PC from the scratch, but the thing is, i just need it for one year so, what do you think is 4200+ paired with GT730 = 6000+ paired with GT730

Right now i can probably go with the g4560 with 8 GB RAM and b250m and next year i can put a GTX 1060 in it. But then the question arises is the integrated gpu of g4560 i.e.intel hd 610 better then GT730 DDR5?

Still i dont think it will improve anything further, you may have to turn down resolution to something not acceptable......
i myself thought that a good gpu upgrade will do good with gta v, so i bought a new gtx 750ti and paired with intel g2020 2.9ghz processor and 8gigs of ram, but still game was lagging as the game progressed, [even in the lowest setting with 1366x768 res or 720p res.....] i had to turn down res 1024x768 to get it in some playable condition, because game is lagging while you are on mission, is annoying as hell. in current generation, a decent quad core processor is the key for running newer games decently.

Thank You very much for your Solution, I will most probably imply that. Let me tell you i have watched the video before you sent me the link, as i'm his subscriber, i was just curious to know if you are RandomGaminginHD himself?? btw afterall Thanks.

Was looking for something to give you to see how to compare in titles you might play, he had a good review with several games in it.

This is a nice little processor with 2 cores 4 threads, practically a half price I3. And a perfect mate to 1050, 1060 3GB or 6GB, or the AMD 460, 470 or 480. It will run out of steam trying to drive a 1080 though, those like i5 or i7.
