Yea, that would be a nice monitor. But if you are spending that kind of money, you should go with Intel. Better upgrade path, and better performance with an i7 for sure.

RookieOfTheYear is right you should go for intel i5 4670k or i7 4790k with 970 sli...better than amd build at this prize range..
for monitor go with LG 24MP76HM or any 24 inch ips 5ms response time thus you can get good color and Good viewing angles...
