:hello: I was looking around for some 27" LCD monitors, and I found this one: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001504
right now I am using a 19" Acer at 1440x900, and it's not bad, but i want something better. So, is this a good monitor? I see it's recertified, but that shouldnt be a big deal right?
also, would i be better off getting a 24" monitor brand new, or this one? All i do on my computer is game :)
Thanks guys
Zylo

The P2770HD is a decent choice if you want connectivity (it has D-Sub, DVI, HDMI, Component, and Composite connectors), but I'd be a bit cautious about a "recertified" monitor, and it only has a 90-day warranty. Also, it's a TN panel. If you're willing to go smaller than 27 inches, you might be able to afford the Dell U2311H (which is an e-IPS) - I see it listed for less than that recertified P2770HD here:

However, it would help if you fill out the template so we have a better idea of your budget and other considerations:

That dell does look nice, but i kinda wanted something bigger, you know? 😛

Stand Functions: I don't care, as long as it stands 😛

Additional Comments: I want something very good for gaming. :)

I was hoping one of the others would explain, but TN (Twisted Nematic) isn't exactly bad by itself, but it's not as good as other panel types (e.g. Patterned Vertical Array (PVA), In-Plane Switching (IPS)) in terms of color quality and viewing angles.

I really don't need them, I have a nice sound system hooked up right now. If I buy a monitor with speakers, i wont use them. I guess i probably should have put Indifferent 😛 do you know any monitors that are 24" and aren't TN panel? If you do, that would be awesome 😀

If you can stretch your budget a bit, I found some canadian sites with the P2770FH:

There's also the related P2770H, which is a little cheaper:
