So I am looking for a good monitor. I already found 1 some days ago and then it started; I found the ultra wide section. I never looked at it because I tought it would be too exspensive.
So I found the LG 25UM58. Before I found the AOC G2460VQ6. I think I would really like ultra wide, but there is 1 thing thats holding me from it. It's the hight of this monitor... I have a 23 inch monitor now and the ultra wide would be a tiny little bit smaller in height. Since I am planning to upgrade later and I want to use the monitor I am willing to buy now as a second monitor I really don't know what to do.
I play a lot games and next to that I do A LOT on the web.

Are there some tips or reasons to buy the ultrawide or not?
I really can't go for a bigger ultra wide since it will cost a lot more...

Plz help me making a choice xD

For browsing the web or using any desktop resolution, a bigger screen with higher resolution is incredibly useful.
The most common step up from standard 1920x1080 monitors is a 27 inch monitor with 2560x1440.
The LG you have chosen seems good too for this too. The dot pitch or number of pixels per inch is similar to a 27 inch 2560x1440 monitor.
The 29" and 34" versions of the same monitor don't seem that great because they still have the same resolution. If you wanted a bigger screen, it really needs a higher resolution as well.

The LG is an IPS monitor, where the AOC is a TN panel. IPS panels have better colour and have wider viewing angles than a TN. This is important for an ultrawide because the edges of the screen are always viewed...

The drawback of IPS is that is has a slower response time than TN, so you are more likely to see ghosting. 5ms is reasonable for this type of screen.
IPS panels also have a bit of a glow that you can notice when viewing dark images from off centre. This is where VA panels come into their own.

I can't find any detailed reviews of the LG, but the specs look ok and LG in general make fairly good monitors.
If the LG is in your price range I would consider it. I think it is a better monitor than the AOC you have found.

Thx! Some reviews say its better to go for 1 step bigger, but I think for a monitor that would be a seccond screen in a years I would consider the LG one. In some reviews people say they think the height of the screen is smaller then they tought. I think that has to do with the with of the screen so they think it's less high. Altough I have 23 inch now, so the LG ultra wide would have the same screen height.
Thx for response and actualy took te time to help me :D

I've looked and the bezzles of the ultrawide is almost exactly the difference in screensize between my current and the ultra wide. I see a lot people say the 75Hz is only at 720p, some others say you can OC the monitor with Nvidia software to 75Hz at 1080p. Is this true?

Recommended resolution on the AOC website is 1920×1080@60Hz.
I honestly don't think going to 75 Hz is going to make a noticeable difference, and I wouldn't count on it being supported at 1920x1080 resolution.
About the only good thing I can say about the AOC is that it supports FreeSync, but that's not much good to you with an Nvidia card.

If you really want a high refresh rate monitor, look at 120 Hz or 144 Hz gaming monitors.
Preferably get one with gsync if you do that so that your graphics card can control the update rate.
Otherwise, a 60 Hz monitor will be fine for most things.

Now I've seen some video's I maybe want to go for the 29 inch... Idk... The 25 seems a little small...
