Is this a good motherboard for AMD FX 8350?

I bought ASUS M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with AMD FX 8350. I heard from people that I need a 8+2 Power Phase and not 4+2. I was told that 4+2 Power phase will burn out my VRM.

any ideas?
