Get a GTX 970 instead of the R9 290,it's much faster,consumes less power,stays cooler and it's exactly the same price as the R9 290.
Everything else looks good.

already own all the parts. Needed to get a new motherboard because newegg wouldnt replace the one that came broken.

It's okay then.
But when you decide to upgrade the GPU,go for the GTX 970,it'll be a nice improvment over the R9 290. 😉

If I upgrade I will probably go with a gtx 980 or a gtx 780 ti
