So basically....
I I have a 4790k
I overclocked to 4.7 at 1.265v after 2 mins of prime 95 I blue screened- baring in mind I was on 58 degrees..

So I ramped the voltage up to 1.8 and re ran prime 95 and after 10 times the time i ran it last time it is still running fine, except the temps are about 64 degrees!

SO the higher the voltage the more heat?
The less voltage the less stability?
Thanks a lot!

I don't believe 1.8V and that temperature!!!!!! 1.8 is crazy and dangerously high. Are you sure you are reading things right.

More voltage means more power use and higher temperatures. Both of my 4790Ks need/needed more than 1.3V to get a stable; 4.7Ghz overclock.

you mean 1.3v? at 1.8 you would fry your cpu lol..yes 64c degrees is nothing for 4790k, max working temparature is 105 degrees and it starts downlocking at over 90 degrees plus keep in mind that not anywhere else in real scenarios will you get such high temps than in prime 95, it's not even recommended to do tests in p95 because it can damage your cpu. Just keep your temps under 75 degrees for 24/7 stable operating and you will be fine :)

Looks like I got a lucky CPU!
What voltage would you suggest for 4.4 ghz overclock? I currently have 1.210 and have load 50 degrees?
GOOD OR NOT?
