Hi, so I decided to build a second gaming PC. I have a budget of it being under 700AUD. I'm just going to be playing CS:GO, BF4. and a few of the new games coming out. I don't want to have ultra graphics, just high and medium.
Here is my build (will not be showing PSU and coolers)
CPU: Athlon II X4 635
GPU: Nvidia GTX 750 OC 2GB
Motherboard: A FM1 Motherboard
Ram: 8GB
Is this good for a pc build? If I can go any cheaper please let me know.
Please note I'm in AUS, so if your offering me something thats USD, it could be more in AUD.

This is the best gaming build i could think of:

is it in AUD or USD?

This is a complete gaming build for NZ$718 (No OS though).

I heard that you need quad core for todays gaming.

i3-4160 uses HT for 4 threading gaming. Its is far stronger than Athlon II X4 635.

you know on newegg 8gb of ram is $57 and I can buy a $70 motherboard and a $65 1TB storage, so it roughly makes it $600 for me, which I find impressive

If you look for these parts on new egg too you might find it's cheaper as you previously said but this is an outline.:

If theres any errors let me know.

I put the build in pcpartspicker from Australia, but if you can order from US it is going to be cheaper, however (asides from Newegg not accepting international orders) you will have to pay shipping costs and taxes/costums fee.

As filipi already mentioned The i3's are dual core but have hyperthreading making them perform as quad-cores. They are stronger than their AMD counterparts, often outperforming even the highest FX CPU's.

- I3 4160 versus 4170 is a difference of 100 mhz, not going to make any noticeable difference in performance, so might as well take the cheaper 4160.
- The CPU comes with a stock intel cooler, which works fine.
- H81 motherboards are not compatible with Haswell refresh CPU's without a BIOS update, so your motherboard will not boot with that CPU. H97 motherboards are compatible out of the box with haswell refresh CPU's, otherwise you will need a 'regular' haswell CPU, for example the i3 4130.

You dont need a 3rd party cpu cooler because Haswell I3 is a fairly cold chip so stock cpu cooler is enough.
You could get a 265 gpu. This is fairly stronger than any 260x.
Something like that::
