Is this a good pc for 1200$?

where do you live? i would change the psu for an xfx one. even a smaller one, with 500w you will be fine. Not the best mobo on the market, think its the cheapest h97 out there..so it comes with some cons, everything else is fine, maybe get a wd blue hdd instead, but thats just me.

Are you building it or buying it prebuilt, the build you listed is about $900 not including an OS.

So you are being overcharged by like $300 bucks which is enough to get a second GTX 970 for SLI or upgrade to the new GTX 980TI.

Then i would at least try to change the psu, fractal desing psu's are not very good, xfx are excellent for the money, or antec if they are too expensive for you.
