Hi!
I'm taking the leap into pc gaming after having a console (xbox 360). I think this a pretty good machine which suits my needs (mostly gaming), here are my specs :

Amd fx 6300 3.5ghz cpu
Case : Galaxy Evolution Tower Case With Switchable Red or Blue Led
Power Supply : 750 Watt With Power Cable Supplied (corsair)
Motherboard : Asus M5A78L-M USB3
Hard Drive : 1tb Sata Hard Drive
Gtx 760 gpu (2gb)
16gb DDR3 1600mhz Corsair Vengeance Memory
Price: £600

Solution
It is definitely not bad. I would prefer to go with Intel cpu's, but that's
just my preference. IMO its best to put your money towards CPU/MOBO and a quality case.
You can upgrade the rest at a later time. Those are more or less the parts that are set in stone.

16GB of RAM is overkill for just about anything, particularly if this is meant to be a mostly gaming machine. Take some of that money and put it towards a SSD, you will be kicking yourself if you build a system without one.

I agree get a 64gb ssd for os

Thanks for your advice , sadly this machine is not being built by me. I am a computer novice and don't want to build one my self. This is the only computer I could find that wasn't a 100% rip off. Yes I do know I can build a pc myself which is just as good for less ; this is a valid point but I just don't have the time or capability to do that. All I care about is not being called a dearest comrade by a 9 year old child whilst playing bf3 ...

I am going to add a ssd at a later date :)

then don't use a mic
