I've bought a new pc and I'm wondering if it's any good?

Asus crosshair v formula z mobo
amd fx 9590 processor
(2x8) 16gb 2400mhz G skill trident X
2x Zotac GTX 970's in SLI
Corsair ax860i 80+ platinum psu
h80i liquid cooler

Get fx-8350 instead of 9590
Asus m5a97 re2.0 MOBO
and better Gpu like 980
Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz(2400mhz OC)

Dude that is one killer PC... You will be able to run every game in existence today at 1440p on ultra and some on 4k at high... That CPU on the other hand needs a LOT of cooling, like I mean seriously, i`d say get at least a H105 or a CM 280L...

its a good pc yes gaming wise yes too the cpu is power hungry but a decent processor as long as you have a monitor capable of the resolution that the graphics can pump out but yes its a good pc there is better but unless you want to engage in paying the sublime i would be happy and remain where you are for a while always upgradable and the cpu is future proof as theres no plans for amd to change there socket setups so your answer is yes its a good pc happy computing

Your a god...a...PC GOD!!!

I have an 8350 from my old pc so I could put that in, and why would I need a 980 with two 970's?

I'm tying to say instead of wasting money on the cpu and mobo get 2 gtx980 for almost 2x better performance

The R9 290 ist nearly simmilar to the R9 290X, the problem ist, that in benchmarks people take the refernce design, but if you overclock your R9 290 it is as good as the R9 290X. The GTX 970 ist more expensive and has this 3.5GB VRAM...

Dude in every tread there`s a fanboy who does no research... Yes the AMD`s can overclock and no the non-x versions do not overclock to their x version counterparts because that is stupid and makes no sense. Then all x versions are null and void and should be taken off the market...

The 970 does not only have 3.5Gb of VRAM, you only read the title of the article you were supposed to read.It has 4gb of VRAM with 512mb of that just being slower than the rest but that does not change the fact that even if you OC a 290 to 5Ghz clock speed it wont be better than the 970, if you want a 970 competitor get the 290X...

I thank you, and bid you farewell...

I know, that the GTX 970 has 4GB, but the slower 512MB are a big problem. Just search Total War Atilla Benchmarks and you will see that the GTX 970 has a strange behaviour, 'cause the game uses ~3.5GB VRAM. In addition the R9 290 has (unoverclocked) more FPS in Total War Atilla. The difference between R9 290 and R9 290X is 316 shaders, which you won't notice...
