I'm building a gaming PC and I'm wondering if these parts are good and how long will it last me. I don't mind running on 45fps and mid settings.

CPU - i5-6500
GPU - Asus STRIX GTX 970 4GB
Motherboard - Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
Internal Hard Drive - WD Blue 1TB
Solid State Drive - Samsung 850EVO 250GB
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws Red 2133 4x2GB
Case - Corsair Spec 03
PSU - Corsair CX750M
Network Card - USB N10 Nano
OS - Microsoft Windows 10 Home Retail 32/64Bit USB Flash Drive
Monitor - Asus VE247H 23.6"

Those specs are really good in my opinion.

I do agree with Chayan4400 on you changing your 550w PSU ONLY IF you plan on going SLI or XFire in the future (wich I honestly don't recomend), otherwise, keep the 550w PSU for now.

I do not agree, however, on you changing your motherboard to a B or H chipset, if anything I suggest you change from Asus to ASrock. The reason behind this is that ASrock recently launched SKY OC, which allows you to OverClock your non K Skylake CPUs via BCLK multiplier, meaning you can now reach higher Core Clocks with non K CPUs. Also, if you ever decide to upgrade to a i5-i7 6xxxK CPU, you need a z170 motherboard which will allow you to overclock them.

My last point is, why would you buy 4 ram modules of 2gb...

Change that PSU to 550W (750W if you plan on SLI) from Tier 1 or 2 on Tom's Hardware's PSU Tier List: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

If you plan on SLI, keep the motherboard. If you don't, save some cash and use an H170 chipset motherboard. Z170 motherboards are only meant for SLI and overclocking. Your 6500 can't be overclocked.

Optionally, get a PCI-E WiFi adapter. It'll free up a USB port and may have better performance.

My last point is, why would you buy 4 ram modules of 2gb? Using up all the ram slots for only 8gb of ram is a waste, if you buy 2 modules of 4gb you will have the same amount of ram, same performance and the added bonus of upgrade headroom, as you can put in 2 extra modules of 4gb in the future, or even 4 new modules of 8gb. 4 ram modules of 2gb is never recommended.

@McDuncun I believe he should not downgrade to a H chipset motherboard for the reason I stated above. ASrock releasing SKY OC means that now non K CPUs can be Overclocked, but only on Z chipset mobos, so he can now OC his 6500. If OP does, in fact, decide to never OC, then I do agree with the downgrade. However, if he buys a K version in the future, or wants to OC his 6500 in the future, he should stick to a Z chipset motherboard (from the ASrock brand preferably)

That ram thing was a typo. It was supposed to say 2x4GB of ram. Anyways thanks for the feedback
