Hello everyone from the tomshardware community. I'm not an expert in PSU's, so I need your help now.

I'm planing on buying a new GPU for my system and a PSU cuz this one is not good.

I'm planing to buy a XFX R9 270x : http://www.links.hr/artikl-051.806.924
and this PSU: http://www.links.hr/?naziv=napajanje-550w-xfx-core-edition-p1-550s-xxb9-atx-120mm-vent-pfc&option=artikl&id_artikl=052.768.002
(IT'S A CROATIAN SITE, BUT I THINK U CAN GET ALONG)

My system:
CPU: Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4 (I didn't OC anything and I dont plan to)
MBO: ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX AM3+
HDD: 320 GB 7200RPM
Optical Drive: DVD+RW

If u can answer fast that would be great :)

and yea does it matter if my MBO has 2.0/2.1 x16 PCI-E? Thanks !!!!! o/

Solution
XFX use seasonic as their oem, so this PSU will be excellent, and 550W should be more than enough.
Also, this PSU is not modular, so be aware you will need to perform some cable management to prevent any loose cables.
I have an XFX XXX 650W, and it hasnt failed me yet, unlike my previous psu *shivers*.

Dobra vecer ^^
As said above, the PSU you're getting is excellent. It will work just fine with your setup. As for your motherboard, it has a PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot, so you should be fine.

A PSU that's modular, means that the cables aren't attached to it, which means that you can only use the cables that you need.
