Jonnyguru tested an ALLIED 500w back in the day
www.jonnyguru.com
it's a very funny report ! :
Quite simply, right after test four was begun, after recording the data and scope readings, the Allied exploded. And I’m not talking about the quiet pop of a blown fuse either, this was something to make one holler things like, “Incoming!” “Honey, I’m so scared, what’s happening?” and, “You’ll never take me alive, coppers!” This was accompanied by a light show to rival the best Hollywood pyrotechnics displays. I distinctly heard Mother Nature yell out, “Now that’s not fair, I can do lightning WAY better than that!”
- "tried to recreate Chernobyl in miniature during the COLD tests"
- "It blew up. Literally. It couldn’t do better than a good 350W, and the OCP didn’t stop it from dying. I mean, the main switching transistors died to protect the $.01 FUSE! How messed up is that?"
- "At any rate, nothing dies like a running Deer."
put this in the trash (or recycle according to local amenities). cut cables so no one will find it and burns his house down.
no way this could power a GTX2070.
stick to the A or B tier Power supplies of this list :
https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/psu-tier-list-psucultists.3624094/
if you own an high end GPU, stick to the A grade
middle range GPU, B grade
iGPU : C grade
everything below C grade is not worthy of any computer
