hello,

im assembling a budget pc for my friend that hasnt alot of money to spend on a gaming pc.
but he really wants a fairly good rig for of course not a lot of money.

these are the specs i came up with.

CPU Intel® Core™ i3-3250
GPU MSI N740-2GD3
MOBO Asus P8H61-Mlx
PSU Corsair CX750
RAM Kingston HyperX 8 GB DDR3-1333
HDD Western Digital Blue, 500 GB

i have the Mobo and PSU here allready. i picked it up somewhere last year on ebay for cheap price. but never had a use for it. and he may have it.

i know the PSU is overkill times 100... 😛 but since i dont trust the CX series from Corsair i go for the 750w so the chance of failure during gaming is somewhat lowered.

so i come up with a price of 409 Euros, without the mobo and psu of course.

i know i can upgrade the CPU and GPU by alot.
but all i wanted to know is iff the mobo is good.. i think i can better pick up the ASRock h97 anniversary. but yeah, first want a good opinion.

NO H61 IS REALLY POOR YOU SHOULD AT LEAST BUY A H81 OR B85 CHIPSET ONE . AND IF THIS PC IS REALLY MEANT FOR GAMING AND YOU ARE AWARE OF OVERCLOCKING YOU CAN BUY THE PENTIUM G3258 WITH A CHEAP AFTERMARKET COOLER SUCH AS THE HYPER 212 EVO AND OVERCLOCK IT 4.2 GHZ AND BUY THE GTX 750 TI INSTEAD WHICH WILL GIVE MORE FPS IN GAMING. YOU CAN ALSO OC THE GPU AS WELL. BUT AT LAST OVERCLOCK AT YOUR OWN RISKS. I OVERCLOCK MUCH WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM TILL NOW. ASUS HAS GOT MANY CHEAP H81 CHIPSET MOBOS WHICH AFTER BIOS UPDATE ALLOW TO OVERCLOCK THE PENTIUM

do not use caps to speak....super annoying
