Hi I am wondering if this was a good deal ? How much cheaper is it if u built it yourself ?

Hard to tell as they don't name MoBo, RAM, HD, etc....but the 260 is way overpriced atm and you could save at least $55 there by getting the 5770 which is at most 10% slower.

You could change the processor from i7-860 to i5-750 since its only about 10% difference in performance. I'd recommend a 24" monitor like the ST2410. I guess you would save at least $55 like what JackNaylorPE said. You would also get a better computer case of your choice if you DIY.

Oh yeah, Tom's Hardware guide of best gaming processor for this month was where I got the i5-750. I've thought of Dell but instead, thought of building my own. You could check my post =) Also, the chipset for the mobo is H57, what I picked was a P55 which is better for overclocking. My rig, also includes a better cpu fan for the same price.

Do yourself a favor and dont get a dell. Build it yourself will be much better in the long run and its not as hard as people think.

+1 to that ^^

IF you upgrade to many parts in the future it will void your Windows OEM key, for starters. Not if you build your own and buy retail Windows 7, then you can pgrade as much as you like!!!

As for getting a i5 750 instead of an i7-860, well as far as I know the 860 supports Hyper-Threading, and the 750 doesnt.

But the 5770 is definately a better choice than the GTX 260.

Hyper-Threading is for programs that are threaded but not really an increase in performance. And the 860 has a price tag of a i7-930, I really don't think its worth the money. 750 would be the best bang for the buck!
