i3-7100 +50$ to i3-7500

a friend of mine wanted to downgrade since so i tried and offered him my cpu+cash for his i wassaving on an intel 9400f but i think the 7500 can last until intel can release better cpu's or a 6c/12t i5 :D...is it a decent deal?

Solution
Yes its a good deal since 7500s are around 100 USD used (waaaaay to much for them but people are stupid and think they have gold)

As far as 6c/12T i5 I doubt it will ever happen, since Intel seems to think Hyper-threading is a premium product. They removed it all together from the i7-9700k. Maybe AMDs strong comeback will force them to reevaluate but I can tell you one thing, waiting for the next big thing is pointless.

thanks. i mean i5-7500, my bad now i can use the saved money for a bigger capacity ssd. its ok if the socket is dead i was planning on getting a 9400f but i am unsure since ryzens are so good right now and i would like to stay intel and there 9th gens non k i5's lose out against ryzens of the same tier, so ithink the 7500 can suffice me for a while in gaming new titles at 1080 60hz on med to high settings, my 7100 is struggling. the 7500 can be a place holder for a while and maybe i can see what intel is gonna release 10nm and all.
we also agreed on a gpu swap, my 1050ti strix+60$ to his gigabyte windforce 6gb.
