Is this a good video card?

Solution

Oh, sorry. I cant find any reviews for it either. The likely reason is that the R9 xxx are new cards and therefore will take time until they are all reviewed in detail.
In my view it would just perform just as well if not better than reference due to the overclock. We are still talking about like 1-2 extra frames. Unless its like a Sapphire Toxic, then it shouldn't be much different to other R9 280x and HD 7970 ghz edition...

dont mean to sound rude but,
graphs graphs graphs. they don't answer my question.

Sorry if this doesn't help

No dont worry - that helped, I didn't realize that the R9s were new. Maybe that's why only 2 people have reviewed it on Amazon...

The R9 cards are new but the R9 models excluding 290 and 290x are rebranded HD 7000 GPU's, on a new PCB.

The R9 280X is a good card but you'd be better off saving $50 and buying a HD 7970.
