Is This A GPU Issue?

I've been noticing a decreased performance when playing games on my main monitor, while having a full screen video on the other. It's like an fps drop but worse. I get a huge stuttering affect whenever I play a game if I also have a Twitch stream open on the other monitor. If I close the stream, then my game goes back to normal. What could cause this?

My rig is this:
-i5-3570k @4.2GHZ
-GTX 680 SLI 2GB

I have my main monitor plugged in via dvi-i, and my secondary via hdmi (both on the gpu not mobo).

Is this happening when you playing games in SLI? SLI or Xfire are well known for causing stuttering, try to disable SLI and see if stuttering continues.

What resolution are you playing at, I would check you vram usage when this is happening.
