I can't figure out what is causing my screen to go blank then come back up with the HDMI 1 in the corner of the screen, then it goes blank again progressively happening quicker until I do a shutdown. When I restart everything is fine for a another 24 tro 36 hours then it happens again. A restart doesn't do anything to help, it must be a shutdown.
My PC is a custom build.
CPU: FX-8350 125W
CPU: Fan Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
M/B : ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X 16GB(2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 (replacing a Corsair AX860 that I thought was the problem)
GPU: MSI Nvida GeForce GTX970 4GB
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 500GB
HHD: WD Caviar Black 1TB 7200RPM
HHD: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200rmp
running Windows 10 Home Premium 64bit free upgrade from Win7
Using Bitdefender 2018 total security
I know the GTX970 had some problems but none like what I am experiencing. I thought it was my PSU because it wasn't working properly (the fan wasn't coming on) but I replaced it with the EVGA and I'm still having the problem. Anyone have an idea what's going on? Is ittime to think about a new GPU? If so do I need to got the 1070?
