is this a mechanical keyboard ???

hi my brother bought me a thing what he say "Mechanical keyboard" i know how its switch really look like , get little bit confused after taking out the keycaps and found this switch attached on my KB

what kind of that switch , im never seeing any mechanical keyboard switch like that ? is that switch common ? is that really a mechanical keyboard or a fake one ?

should i say thanks to my brother

Yes it is mechanical, not sure what type tgough we don't have many of those in South Africa

Hard to tell from the pic and don't know the brand of the keyboard. However most mechanical switches are a type of "cherry mx" and different colors denote different properties. Soft click, hard click etc. There is one called a cherry mx blue and the inner portion of that switch appears bluish to me so that might be what it is.

No, I highly doubt those are Cherry MX switches. Cherry MX's have"+" shaped heads those look more rectangular.

Good point, I was just looking at the color. You're right they aren't shaped the same.
