Greetings,

I was browsing my local stores online and I found a "mechanical keyboard" for 25€.

Does this look mechanical at all, or is it fake? Even if it's fake or semi-mechanical, is it worth the money?

Thank you for reading.

If I were you, I would purchase from somewhere more reputable. Here are 3 mechanical keyboards from Amazon that are near that price. They have a bunch of positive reviews, and because it's Amazon, you can return the keyboard easily if you don't like it. Purchasing from those small-time tech sites is kind of risky because you don't know how good their customer service is.

Yeah, I didn't expect this keyboard to have Cherry Switches, these types of switches alone cost around 60$ while this keyboard is barely 30$.
Question is: Although, it's semi-mechanical, most likely, should I buy it?

Solution
Cheaper mechanical keyboards may have function keys, etc as rubber dome switches.
As long as the keys you use for games are mechanical, and the keyboard has 6-key rollover (or N-key rollover), it should be ok.
The other two cheap mechanical keyboards I have seen people reference are from Thermaltake and Redragon.

According to the website reviews, 97% are positive. So it seems that the company is trustworthy.

It does say "- Anti-ghosting: Yes, Nkey Rollover on all keys", I'm not sure if it has 6-key rollover though.

6-key rollover means it can detect 6 keys pressed at the same time.
N-key rollover means all keys at the same time, so this is technically better but unlikely to ever make a difference compared to 6 key rollover.
With a standard office keyboard, three keys can be enough to cause false detections.
