is this a moster build?

if you use a "k" cpu you need to go with a "z" chipset motherboard for overclocking. if you dont overclock, go with non-k-version. also consider taking the 4790k. also your psu is overpowered. go with a 500w-600w psu. this is more than enough. also you might consider a good aircooler for your cpu. costs less and is almost as good as a watercooler

Yes it'd be good. Maybe fine tune it - $1500 plus peripherals -

Feel free to ask about any of the changes.
(I would personally step down to an i5 and save the money for this being a gaming rig)

You could do better for $300 or so less.

1. CPU is last generation, 4970k or 4690k if just gaming....4690k saves $100

2. $80 cooler on a $59 MoBo is a mismatch. Suggest a Z97 like the MSI G45 / GD65 which will allow easy overclocking and future addition of 2nd GFX card.

3. That AIO gets outperformed by most air coolers. Siggest a $60 Phanteks PH-TC14-PE, $90 Cryorig R1 or if ya want water, $140 Swiftech H220-X

4. Skip the $110 Dominators and get something shorter and faster.

2133 CAS 10 - $75 ...puts $35 in ya pocket to pay for better MoBo

5. WD Black isn't a bad drive ..... comes in 18th place in THG's performance charts. But this one is $25 and being an SSHD it has a built in SSD.... it's more than 50% faster than the Black in gaming.

6. EVGA would be my last pick outta the big 4..... MSI seems to be the company to watch based upon roundup reviews of the 780 Ti and 970, especially the difference in components used for power delivery, chokes and capacitors... not many reviews yet and few conparitive ones

7. Enthoo Luxe over the Bitfenix....built in fan and LED controller, water pump / reservoir mounts, SSD mounts, best fans on market, PSU shroud, best cable management.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811854007

8. Better / cheaper PSU ... jonnyguru 9.5 build quality rating
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438028

9. With the money saved, I'd upgrade to 144 Hz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313

10. The on board sound (ALC 1150) on the G45 is deemed equivalent by Asus to the $70 Xonar .... not needed.

11. Best 140mm fan on market based upon performance / noise ratio = $10
