Question Is this a problem with my PC?

today I accidentally unplugged my pc but when I plugged it back in it isn’t working and looks like it isn’t receiving any power, any suggestions on what I should do?

Welcome to the forums
when you unplugged it did you happen to hit the switch on the back? move the rocker switch on the back (not the voltage selection slider switch) if you have on e and try again.

I unplugged it from the outlet it was plugged into and it hasn’t worked since, I did have an app running but I don’t know if that had anything to do with it, I’ve tried other outlets and nothing seems to be working. I have the Omen Obelisk if u want to check it out?

from your description it sounds like the PSU has gone poof.
the only real test is to replace it with anotherunit for testing. do you have access to another computer you could play swapsies with for a few minutes?
is that the 300W or 500W unit?

Unfortunately I do not have another computer at the moment. it is the 500W unit

My monitor is still working and I can turn it on but my pc is the one not getting the power

the monitor has a built in power supply, it does not need power from the computer.
this is more evidence that the power supply is at issue.

Thank u for your support I’ll go buy a new power supply soon. Is there a certain kind I have to get?

I suggest the Corsair CX-550 as a starting point. a good budget unit 5 year warranty
the TX series by corsair is better, more efficient and longer warranty.
any Seasonic PSU except the S12III.
the only real requirement to fit the case is a standard ATX form factor PSU. the ones I mentioned are ATX
