CPU: i5 6600K
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 x 3G
MBoard: MSI Z170-A PRO
RAM: HyperX Fury DDR4 2 x 4GB
PSU: Corsair VS450
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
HDD: Seagate 1TB ST1000DM003

I won't overclock but I chose the 6600k because price difference between 6600 isn't that much. This and actually a lot more because 6600K sounds way ******* nicer than 6600.

3GB 1060 because I'd play at medium-high settings max and usually 720p and rarely 1080p. Greedy gamer with greedy settings.

This all sums up to €860,00
You might think, CPU and GPU aim for ultra settings and you say you want medium 720p gaming? What..

Well I play greedy, but I want to play in a good quality greedy way.

Overall, is this a reasonable setup?

Solution
yes, for the res you playing it will be a good gaming machine for a year or two, and then some.

The 6600k is a good gaming chip with a fairly high boost frequency @3.9ghz. The 1060 3gb (even though only 3gb, and not the 6gb version) is a sterling performer at 1080p high/ultra. Your good to go! enjoy :)

just keep in mind, if you upgrade your monitor to 1080p or higher, the 3gb may have issues. Already games like BF1 use just a tad over 3gb on 1080p Ultra @60hz. Most games, and any before 2016/2017 will not use 3gbs at 1080p, so you have some room to play with.

Solution
PSU is low quality. Went with B250/Non K CPU to save a little bit of money which went towards a larger HDD and better PSU.

Hello keith12 thanks for helping. Im planning to play 720p medium settings ans wish to game with this rig for atleast 8 years in these settings, going to low settings isnt a problem for me graphics dont matter too much. Would this be possible?

@WildCard999 can I also taks the VS650 instead?

to be honest, thats doubtful, but maybe possible. Game hardware requirements are only going to increase (as they always do) year on year. what's good now, and gets decent results, almost certainly won't give the same results even 4-5 years down the line. The idea being that we (PC owners) have systems that can upgrade and take advantage of newer hardware. You can potentially upgrade your CPU to an I7-7700k, but you would need to ensure you have the latest bios. The I7 7700k is still one of the best gaming chips around. So if you got that, and then say an upgrade on your GPU in a year or two, then certainly you can extend the life of the PC by a few more years, with minimal cost.

@WildCard999 does the motherboard you recommended have the required bios version for 7th gen intel CPU?

@WildCard999 Im considering the Seasonic M12II EVO 520W PSU. Does this match the keyword quality

Look at my signature, im running a very old system and im playing 1080p 60fps with very high settings.. only a few games do i need to turn down settings.. i think modern systems are highly overrated
