Is this a safe overclock?

So in a previous thread I asked for help about overclocking I picked my b**ls up off the ground and went ahead and did it. My cooling solution is not the best so I was not able to get a massive overclock. my i5 4670k is sitting at 4.0 GHZ @ 1.2 volts, after a quick benchmark with Intel Extreme Tuning Utility I found out that my cpu reached a max temp of 85 degrees celcius. Is this too high or should I go back to my stock? I am happy with either option. I achieved a 836 mark on the test.

Solution
85 C is alarming. Better get air cooler/liquid cooler subject to your preference and then overclock.

Noctua NH-14D/NH-U14S
CM Hyper Evo 212
Corsair H80i/H100i

The clock\voltage is fine but 85c is quite high. 85c isn't actually dangerous but if you see a max temp of 85c, the danger would be that if you put any kind of consistent load on the CPU it may go higher. What do you have, the stock cooler on it?

To me that seems a bit high. I was uncomfortable with my CPU at 66 degrees let alone 85. Get a better cooler is your only option or lower the OC. I wouldn't trust it with a 200+ dollar CPU. Get a Cooler Master Hyper or Evo 212 as they are roughly 35 bucks.

After doing some rough measuring I dont think the 212 will fit into my rig. My ram is not exactly low profile, as of now it is already touching the fins of the CPU fan. I will do some exact measuring when I get home, fingers crossed! Both are almost the same price, give or take, the TT comes with 2 fans I am not sure if that will improve cooling over the 212.

Generally, people don't prefer liquid cooling due to risk of leakage. Otherwise liquid cooling is a good option. Answer would depend on which alternative you've got.

I'm using Noctua NH-U14S and I dropped Corsair H100i for that air cooler.
