Question Is this a value buy for today? i7 3820 + Asus p9x79 board

So I'm thinking about buying a used 3820 with a p9x79 board w/o issue for 40 bucks.
The thing is, I'm thinking what if my board broke or something, because I know it's very hard to find x79 boards these days.
You guys still think it's worth it?

Definitely worth the 40 dollars. All you need now is some DDR3 RAM and other core components and you got a decent PC.
