Win XP Pro SP2

I'm not sure if this is a Windows problem or not but I suspect it is. My
laptop will not recognized a USB thumb drive. I have several, they all work
fine in other computers. The USB ports on my laptop work fine with
everything else but none of them recognized the USB drive. Help please.

Thanks in advance... Bob

Some USB 2.0 devices are not backward compatable to USB 1.1 ports.

Does it make the Bloop sound and you just cant find it ? Look in MMC at the
drives. I initially couldn't find a scandisk 1gb flashdrive until I found
it in disk management or something there and assigned it a drive letter.
Microsoft has a fairly new toy, a flash drive manager. Maybe installing it
might do something

Might also look in Services to see if anything might be disabled that sounds
like storage.
