Is this APU strong enough to handle my video card?

This is the APU and video card I want to purchase. Are they a good match? A friend told me the APU is too weak for my video card.

If you are getting a dedicated card, this would be a MUCH better processor!

What kind of difference am I looking at? The problem is that I'm getting a big discount on the first processor. Is it bad that it is CPU + GPU? Does that mean it wasn't meant to use a video card like the one I posted?

The first cpu is an APU which means it has integrated graphics. For a better gaming experience, you can go with any of Intel's Sandybridge pentium/celeron lineup and get much better performance than any APU!

Yes. But keep in mind, the integrated isn't very powerful compared to the 560ti!

What resolution is your monitor? Also, you're going to have to pick up the rest of the parts for your build correct? Money being spent? There is quite a bit information missing that you need to clear up.

Might as well build from scratch and set your cpu price to $100 or so i3/phenom range. An APU is mostly for people who don't want to bother with picking up a discrete GPU, which you clearly are not it's intended audience.

APUs are for tight budget gamers, one who cannot afford a GPU.
The APU, for a very reasonable price, gives you a fairly decent CPU & a good integrated GPU, which is equivalent to a HD5450(I think so).
Since games are more GPU bound, APU becomes a good choice for that small price.

But, if you have the cash for a GPU, then why not get Intel's Celeron G530. Overall performance(G530 + 560GTX-TI) will be much better than the APU.
