Can't determine whether its good or bad. Bought a VX239H earlier today. Brightness at 50 and no color calibrations done yet

Backlight bleed and IPS glow is used interchangeably. Have you tried massaging the display with a microfirbre cloth and see if it goes away? In the first picture there appears to be a tiny bit of clouding going on. It's not looking too bad, if it's noticeable and or you can clearly see the darker or bright areas while using it like you normally would, then I would RMA. Keep in mind though, that this is a problem with pretty much all LCD's, IPS is not the only one. This problem is classed as a defect, and should not be tolerated and manufacturers should be pushed by the consumers to always deliver, with as little problem as possible. The people that take their time to complain, are the real heros, if nobody did, manufacturers would sell us low quality crap.

Will try the microfibre later when I get home. It's not noticeable under naked eye. The light is evenly well lit in dark and I can only see it when I took a picture of it. Can I say it's good enough?

Also I had this same model a earlier this year but I returned it and had a refund. Is this worse?
