I made an impulsive buy of a monitor - felt its need all of a sudden and bought next day. Primarily use it for work. No gaming or movies. Did a quick research and liked thin bizel ones. Landed on Dell S2316M and found it open-box in Best Buy after all discounts and bargains for $121 including tax. I had to buy there because I have a bunch of BB gift cards.

Now I'm confused if the monitor is worth the price. I feel this has backlight bleeding. Not sure if this is normal amount of bleeding. Also this one doesn't have a HDMI (I don't need one now but just thinking about reselling if I've to).

Is the bleeding in following pictures normal ?

The first two pictures are with default brightness. I then reduced it to 50%. But the bleeding in the right bottom corner seems to exist. Annoying when I'm working on a black terminal. But not sure if I'll get another lemon after exchange. Don't want to repeat exchanges several times.

Will appreciate any help.

Solution
That's not bleed, it's just uneven lighting. The dell monitors are good, but the S series is pretty bad even for it's low price point (Asus and LG make better monitors in same price range). If you need a better monitor, consider the Dell Ultrasharp (U series) monitors or the higher end Asus/HP monitors.
